چکیده

Buerger disease or thromboangiitis obliterans is a non-atherosclerotic, segmental, inflammatory, peripheral arterial occlusive in young male smokers. Revascularization via endovascular treatment and/or bypass surgery less common and technically challenging patients with disease. Herein, we report the case of 30-year-old patient who underwent followed by surgery, which successfully salvaged his critically ischemic limbs. This demonstrates that revascularization strategy for critical limb ischemia due to could be beneficial salvage. To achieve effective salvage, collaborative approach among specialists, vascular surgeons, reconstructive surgeons recommended.

Outcomes of Popliteal-To-Distal Bypass Combined with Femoropopliteal Artery Endovascular Treatment for Critical Limb Ischemia

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate outcomes of combined popliteal-to-distal bypass and endovascular treatment (EVT) for femoropopliteal lesions in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI). Patients and Methods: We reviewed data of 14 CLI patients who were treated by popliteal-to-distal bypass combined with femoropopliteal EVT. The femoropopliteal lesions included 3 TASC II-A, 8 ...

Endovascular recanalization techniques for popliteal arterial occlusive injury with limb-threatening ischemia secondary to trauma

To date, no ideal endovascular strategy has been established for traumatic arterial occlusion. Here, we report the outcomes of a combination of endovascular recanalization techniques applied in two patients with high risk of leg amputation. A 33-year-old man with popliteal artery occlusion due to blunt trauma was treated by balloon angioplasty with long inflation time and aspiration thrombectom...

Improving the level of amputation of the lower extremity after therapeutic endovascular intervention for patients with critical limb ischemia

Methods: We conducted a comparative study of two groups of patients suffering from arterial insufficiency of the lower extremities, and the decision taken to amputate above the knee for both of them. A group of patients selected for a therapeutic peripheral intervention, and the effect of this intervention in improving the level of amputation studied and calculated statistically. The study cond...

Successful Treatment of Acute Aortic Dissection Type Stanford A Presenting as Limb Ischemia, Successfully Treated with Operative and Endovascular Procedures.

We report a successful treatment of unusual case of a 48 year old male patient with acute aortic dissection type Stanford A that expanded into left common and external iliac artery diagnosed by MSCT angiography, presenting as a single leg paresis, without symptoms of a chest or back pain. Patient was operated with conventional ascending aortic replacement. Patient had no known prior medical con...

Impact of cilostazol after endovascular treatment for infrainguinal disease in patients with critical limb ischemia.

BACKGROUND Cilostazol reduces restenosis and repeat revascularization after endovascular therapy (EVT) in claudicant patients with femoropopliteal lesions. However, the efficacy of cilostazol in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI) is unclear. Therefore, we investigated the effect of cilostazol on outcomes in patients with CLI. METHODS From January 2004 to December 2009, 618 patients (3...
